Located in the Upper Eden Valley the club was founded in 1975 and originally played matches at the local grammar school in the town of Kirkby Stephen. The Pennine Hotel was used for after match food, committee meetings and a base for all club members. In 1980 the club purchased a local field at the west of Westgarth housing estate. The volunteers of the club soon set about works to level the field to a playing surface and commenced to build the clubhouse. In 1985 the clubhouse was opened and in 1989 the clubhouse was extended to accommodate a growth in players and the adjacent field was purchased to create a second team and training pitch. The club has been created by volunteers giving many hours of unpaid time to create a fantastic community club and facility. For the forthcoming season we will be running Adult Men's 1st and 2nd teams, Adult Women's 1st team and mini and junior teams in various age groups. If you are interested in becoming part of the Upper Eden family please get in touch for further details.
